Is your family blessed with female children? If yes, then you are very lucky! The hadiths of the Prophet (peace and blessings of the Almighty be upon him) about raising girls are beautiful and amazing.
Girls bring great rewards and blessings with them. If you surround your daughter with care, love and support, give her a decent education and upbringing, then the Gardens of Eden will serve as your reward.
Did you know that it was often shameful to have a daughter in a family in pre-Islamic times? It was quite common, no matter how scary it sounded, the phenomenon was when a newborn girl was buried alive in the ground. The Prophet (peace be upon him) corrected it.
The hadiths left to us by Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions were called upon to put an end to the notorious practices prevalent at that time: mistreatment of girls, humiliation and infanticide. And even today, despite the modernity of people and the modernization of society, his words are still relevant and very necessary.
We have prepared several hadiths for you that describe the blessings that a person raising a daughter receives. Paradise awaits you
1. It is known from Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “If anyone has a female child, and he will not bury her alive, or will not neglect her, or prefer her children to her male, then Allah will lead him to paradise.”
2. Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever has three daughters, and he accepts them, shows mercy to them and supports them, paradise is definitely guaranteed.” Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked: “What if a person has only two daughters?” He replied: “He receives this award, even if there are (only) two” (hadith narrated by al-Albani).
3. Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: “A woman came to me with two daughters. She asked me (for alms), but did not find anything from me except one date, and I gave it to her. She (accepted it and then) divided it between her two daughters, leaving nothing for herself. Then she got up and went out.
When the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) returned, and I told him this story, he said: “He who brings up girls and is supportive of them, in order for them to become protection from hellfire” (narrated by Muslim).
4. From the words of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) it is known that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “He who brings up two girls until they reach maturity, he and I will come together on the day of Resurrection (close to each other ), like this (the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) joined his fingers to illustrate the proximity “(narrated by Muslim).
These are just a few examples of how Islam takes care of girls. This concern is comprehensive and covers the physical, emotional and mental needs of girls. The Prophet (peace be upon him) commands us to be loving, patient and caring parents.
